powered by TheBrain®

In the Enterprise of the Future, the guiding principle of Technology is:

  • Technology is considered an enabler, rather than an end unto itself

The three focus areas for Technology are:

  • Architecture
  • Integration

  • Performance

The attributes of Architecture are:

  • An Enterprise Architecture which aligns technology with business processes, performance drivers, and strategy, is established and maintained

  • Formal tool selection processes are in-place

  • Technology infrastructure provides ease of access while maximizing privacy and security

The attributes of Integration are:

  • Key components across the enterprise are woven together into a system of systems

  • Balance exists between localization and centralization; local systems are seamlessly connected into an integrated whole

  • Technology infrastructure supports the convergence of information management and knowledge management

 The attributes of Performance are:

  • The contribution of technology infrastructure to organizational performance is measured and tracked

  • Knowledge workers have access to the technical resources they need to make informed, consistent decisions
